The Monroe Virtual School has a licensed school counselor available to you! I look forward to phone conferencing with each student at least twice - once to plan their high school courses and again to discuss plans after high school. I am happy to collaborate with you in a number of capacities. Reasons to call Debbie Schmidt, your school counselor, include:
- Academic/Graduation Planning - in a graduation planning phone conference we create a map of the classes you need to take to meet graduation requirements and prepare you for your plans after high school
- Academic Skills - we can discuss ways to develop and improve test taking strategies, study skills, time management and organizational skills need to be successful in school
- Post Secondary Planning - we can discuss your academic and career goals and explore colleges, universities, technical colleges and apprenticeship programs and other options that may suit your goals. This includes
- Career Exploration and Planning - we can discuss your educational goals, future plans, interests and abilities to look at potential careers and the path you need to take enter careers of interest.
