Hello, my name is Maureen McGuire and I am excited to be a teacher here at the Monroe Virtual High School. I came here in June from the Monroe High School where I taught Remedial and Special Ed English. I have been busy this summer learning all about the Virtual School and trying to meet as many of you as I can. I hope to visit with all my students in the next few months.
I grew up here in Monroe, WI and attended college at Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa where I earned a BA in English. I earned a Masters in Special Education at Edgewood College in Madison, WI. In Addition, I am a Reading Specialist and a LD/EBD/CD teacher in Special Ed. I lived in Minnesota for several years and later moved to Hawaii and taught at a K-12 school for 2 years. Since then I have worked in the Monroe School District in Special Education and Remedial Reading.
I look forward to bringing all my experiences as an educator to the Monroe Virtual School. I hope to help my students earn their high school diploma and achieve their career goals. Please feel free to contact me any time with concerns or questions.
