Hello my name is Dustin Huffman and this is my first year teaching at the Monroe Virtual School. I am very excited to have the opportunity to help direct students toward their career goals through the Virtual School. The program offers many different avenues of success for each individual student, which is why I feel privileged to be a teacher here.
I graduated from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Education. My major was physical education with a minor in adaptive physical education. After graduating from Oshkosh I moved home to Monroe and taught middle school physical education and health education for one year. I decided after teaching in my home town I wanted to try something new and moved to Phoenix Arizona. The experience I gained in Arizona was something I will never forget, but when the opportunity to work for the Monroe Virtual School arose I could not turn it down as it was something new and exciting. (Not to mention I missed the snow!)
The Monroe Virtual School is such a great option because of its flexibility and its ability to meet the needs of every student. I look forward to working with students and my Virtual School staff!
