Oct 9, 2009 - Monroe Virtual School Technology Education
As a part of Monroe School District’s commitment to provide online educational opportunities, virtual school staff recently attend two workshops. On September 21st teachers attend a one day seminar on Moodle. Hosted by CESA 2, the workshop included an overview of how Moodle works, showed ways to create independent study classes using Moodle, and explored innovations within Moodle that can be used to increase student comprehension.
On October 9th, the school district hosted a one day Technology In-service. Staff from the Monroe Virtual, Alternative, and regular high school were able to attend a variety of workshops geared toward internet and computer technology. Classes included Excel, Word, Social Networking, Interactive Websites, and Using Smartboard in the classroom.
