What does it cost?
A one time, twenty-five ($25) dollar registration fee is the only direct student/parent cost related to enrollment in the Independent Education Program. As with any public school, there are basic materials and supplies that a parent/ guardian must provide for the student, but the curriculum and instructional support is provided at no charge to the family.
Can students participate in extracurricular activities?
Monroe Virtual High School students are not eligible to participated in WIAA (Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association) sanctioned activities or non-curricular organizations or activities. If a student is enrolled in a Monroe High School course, as part of his or her Independent Learning Program, the student may participate in activities directly related to that course. (Example: A student is enrolled in MHS Symphonic Band would be eligible to travel to the Chicago Symphony or participate in evening concerts.)
